SHOULD I EXERCISE WITH MY HEAD IN OR OUT OF WATER?

OR CAN I DO BOTH?

SHOULD I EXERCISE WITH MY HEAD IN OR OUT OF WATER?

When exercising in the pool always keep your head above water. This will ensure that you maintain proper breathing and that you focus on the movement without being distracted by water splashes on your face. You also don't want to have to stop exercising to scrub your eyes or because you have water in your mouth.
in addition, if you are following an instructor in an Aqua aerobic class, submerging your head in the water may prevent you from seeing the proper movement or hearing the instructions.

Is exercising with head in water always bad?

Putting your head in and out of water during aquatic exercises is not harmful at all. Actually, if you are a good swimmer or if you know how to maintain proper breathing then submerging your head could add to your aquatic workout. For example, blowing bubbles under water is very healthy for your respiratory system. Submersing your head underwater and blowing bubbles is a good exercise for those with chronic bronchitis, or for anyone who wants to work on their lungs. It is even recommended by doctors. However, if you have difficulties regulating your breathing in and out of water I would advice you to avoid that.
