Not all pools have stairs but you can still perform this exercise by using aqua aerobic stepper instead. Jumping in the pool, unlike on dry-land, creates high intensity, yet smaller impacts on your joints.
Jumping in the pool also engages more muscle groups, especially you upper body muscles, and keeps you cool and refreshed all the time. |
Starting Position:
Hold two dumbbells and stand in the shallow-end with your feet hip-width apart. Hold the dumbbells in front of you at your lower abdominal level and let your palms face downward. Keep the dumbbells hip-width apart and slightly bend your arms. Note: any object like a noodle works too if you don't have aqua dumbbells. Starting Position:
Stand in the shallow end with your back straight, your hands open by your side and your legs closed together. |
