Side Jump Press in Pool

08 June 2025

This is a powerful movement with the key focus on turning your body on both sides with a powerful jump, then adding aqua dumbbell press at the end of the movement. Very engaging, aerobic, fun and powerful aqua exercise. Performed in shallow water, you will need aqua dumbbells or aqua gloves and a nice warm-up before you start.

A powerful underwater exercise showing 3D character performing 'Side Jump Press'. Full-body muscle engagement and marked muscles.

Starting Position:

Stand in shallow water and hold the aqua dumbbells close to your body with bent arms. Bend your knees to submerge your shoulders, and stand in a prepared position, ready to jump on the side. Keep your back straight and tighten your abs.

How to Perform

Jump on one side as you twist your torso toward that side, and press both your arms in the same direction as you land on one leg and kick the other. Imagine pushing the water away from you using aqua dumbbells. Jump again to return to the starting position then repeat on the othe side. Start slow, gradually pick up a good rhythm and speed up as you start to feel more confident.
